Native to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, I have always had a love for the natural world, and took every local opportunity to expand my artistic horizons while growing up. Time spent in nature was a big part of my childhood, as was playing wildlife

guessing games with my family on our many road trips.

 

I crossed the Chesapeake Bay at 18 and received my Bachelor's in Fine Art & Design from Towson University, then moved up to Manhattan at 25 to earn my MFA at New York Studio School. 

 

I've done a lot in the art and design world, but painting birds and wildlife feels like a very true expression of my passions. Traveling, hiking, birding, reading, cooking, listening to music, and nature journaling keep me inspired. I currently live in Northwest Philadelphia where trees and wildlife are surprisingly prevalent.
